Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that we want to do more work for the Muslim community to reduce the burden of population. He described population as the root cause of every social danger and said that if we can control it, then social evil will automatically reduce.
Assam Chief minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday appealed to the minority Muslim people of the state to adopt a good family planning policy for population control. He said that population is the root cause of every social danger and said that if we can control it, then social evil will automatically reduce.
Assam Cheif minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma further said that the population policy is already in place and it will be effective soon like government jobs. Population policy was also implemented in the last assembly, but the government wants to reduce the population burden for the minority Muslim community.
Himanta Biswa Sarma said,” We want to do more work for the minority Muslim community to reduce the population burden. We want to work with them so that the population can be control in the state. population is the main root of social danger like poverty, land encroachment and we can reduce this social threat if population is reduced.
The Chief minister further said that it has already been implemented to a great extent in Panchayat elections, cooperative, municipal elections. We are working on it. Himanta BiswaSarma has completed his first month as a Chief minister of Assam. Himanta Sarma was sworn in as Chief minister after the BJP won the Assam Assembly elections in early may.
The Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma further said that his government will focus on educating women from the minority Muslim community, so that the problem can be solved in the right way. The Assam chief minister also said that his government will not allow anyone to take over the land of sastras, namghars, holy places, forest and community leaders have assured the government that they would not encroach on these places. Let us inform that the Assam government has also started a campaign to evict the encroaches from the session, holy places, forest land in many parts of the state.
